Tell Us About Yourself
Name: Itami Rosu (formerly known as "Honba Rosu" and "Il Ladro Esperto") Gender: Male Age: 17 Race: Ryougan Alliance: Aquila
What Do You Look Like?
Picture/Description:
Eye Color: Gray Hair Color Black Height: 5'10" Weight: 140 lbs. Notable Feature: N/A
You Can Do That?!
Powers:
Barrier: Rosu is able to create a powerful hemispherical barrier (spherical while in mid-air) that absorbs all projectile attacks that come in contact with it. When it is just Rosu, the barrier has a radius and height of (about) 1.92 meters; if there is more than one person inside, the barrier will stretch up to a radius and height of 2.5 meters. No matter how big or small the attack is, the barrier will absorb its entirety then disappear; however, if the attack is made up of multiple shots, the barrier will disappear once it absorbs the first shot. If the attack involves a solid projectile, it will still be absorbed, but it will be released when the barrier disappears. Rosu receives two rings when this ability is used.
Shield: Rosu can make a yellow, circular shield appear on his arm that can take both melee and projectile damage. The shield is destroyed after it goes through its 'Stages of Damage': 'Yellow Stage' is 'Perfect'; 'Gold Stage' is 'Slightly Damaged'; 'Orange Stage' is 'Mildly Damaged'; 'Burnt Orange Stage' is 'Damaged'; 'Red Stage' is 'Greatly Damaged'; and 'Maroon Stage' is 'Almost Destroyed.' It is destroyed after either 6 regular hits, 3 super hits, or 1-2 mega hits. He can also use it as a weapon via shooting it from his arm; however, it is destroyed once it stops moving/loses momentum.
Teleportation: As the title might suggest, Rosu has the ability to go from one place to another almost instantaneously. So long as he knows where the place is, he can teleport himself (and up to two others) anywhere within a mile radius; however, if people can't exist there through 'normal' means, then the ability fails. For example, he can't teleport a mile underwater or in the air because people can't reach places such as those without assistance from machines or powers; however, he can teleport to the top of a skyscraper because it is possible (likely or not) for people to get there without machines or powers.
Weakness(es):
Cursed Ring System: This limit was placed on Rosu during his first encounter with a Serpente known as Akuba Akki. When he uses a power, a cursed ring appears on his left hand, right hand, or back (it forms this symbol before it goes to the next body part), which disappears nine posts later. For example, if he gets a ring during Post 1, it won't disappear until the beginning of Post 10. If he tries to use a power while he has six rings, a seventh ring will appear on his back, which gradually saps him of his energy until it disappears nine posts later; an eighth ring will do the same, but at a much faster rate; a ninth ring, however, will drain him to the point of unconsciousness.
Other Weaknesses: Located in the 'Powers' section.
Personal Strength(s):
Rosu is a master in the art of thievery, both with and without his abilities; as a result, he is agile, acrobatic, and able to adapt to a variety of situations. Before the Morte Notturno War, he made his living by either stealing and selling items for profit or by finding clients and collectors who needed his services. Even though Rosu no longer steals (regularly, anyway), he still has the aforementioned skills, which probably explains why he's managed to survive for so long.
Rosu is also an excellent swordsman, able to wield his longsword like a true master. He took a liking to this weapon during a break-in, so instead of selling it (like everything else he stole), he kept it; he's been using it ever since. He used to use specially-designed yo-yos to fight, but because it's been awhile since he last fought with them, he'd probably be a little rusty if he started to use them again.
I Wanna Know More!
Personality:
Rosu is very considerate of other people, which is pretty ironic for an ex-thief who used to only care about himself. He always puts the wants and needs of others before his own; this includes necessities such as health and safety. Unfortunately, most of the people who know him think he's bad luck; his constant need to help people often gets him into trouble, so consequently, people try to avoid him. I mean, let's face it: only Rosu could walk into an amusement park and get in a fight with a mugger ten minutes later.
Nowadays, Rosu is a happy-go-lucky, fun-seeking, and optimistic person who is always ready for whatever the world has in store for him. As far as most people are concerned, he hasn't had a sad moment in his entire life; unfortunately, this isn't the case. When he was abandoned by his parents at age four, he was overcome by loneliness and despair, feelings that soon developed into anger. Acting on this anger, he became a thief and began robbing all of the high-class families in the area (once a ghetto boy, always a ghetto boy). Fortunately, after a key event in his life, his personality changed for the better and made him into the Rosu everyone knows today.
The aforementioned curse has also brought about a change in Rosu's personality. Every once in a while, Rosu will have a sudden change in personality depending on who he's with; when he's with men, he will become extremely irritable and prone to violent acts; when he's with women, he is overcome by an uncontrollable lust for them; when he's with both, he becomes depressed beyond belief and thinks in pessimistic ways the entire time; when he's in a crowd full of people, he becomes a complete jerk who looks down on everyone around him. These sudden changes may be rare, but when they hit, they won't go away until about two hours later. Rosu has no memory of these little 'fits', so those who witnessed them have to fill him in.
Unfortunately, despite these changes, Rosu still has his 'natural' bad points. Even though he is a friendly person, he still has an uncontrollable urge to prank others (usually those with arrogant and/or snobbish attitudes) when given the opportunity; they are harmless, yes, but they can sometimes get out of hand, especially when he flat-out doesn't like the 'victim(s)' and does all he can to make him/her/them suffer. He also tends to stick his nose in other peoples' business, but in his defense, he sometimes doesn't even realize he's doing it.

History:
Rosu's father and mother (Honba Itami and Honba Reiba, respectively) moved to Verada from Tokyo about 20 years ago; three years later, he was born. His parents loved him at first, but as the months went by, they began to hate him with a passion. They were always 'forgetting' to feed him; his many 'accidents' dotted him with bruises; he was always referred to as 'it'; the list goes on. The neighbors (even the children) knew something was up, but they did nothing to help him; as a result, the abuse continued for another three years. When Rosu was four, his parents finally kicked him out; at that moment, his home became the streets of Verada.
With no one in the world to love and support him, Rosu turned his back on the world and began his career as a master thief; he was even given the name "Il Ladro Esperto" at one point. In the earlier years, he pulled simple crimes such as breaking-and-entering and pickpocketing; as time went on, however, he began to take on more serious crimes such as art thievery and assassination. Despite his hatred toward society and its people, he never hurt or killed anyone he didn't have to; if they didn't get in his way, he ignored them and moved on. Oddly enough, his abilities didn't develop in those years of his life; he pulled off these crimes as a regular human. In fact, his abilities didn't reveal themselves until his teen years; this is pretty unusual, since most Ryougans discover their abilities at a much younger age.
When he was twelve, he found himself a partner-in-crime: Akuba Akki. Brought together by their mutual hatred for people, the duo took on major crimes such as bank heists and ransom kidnappings. Their partnership didn't last long, though; about a year before the Morte Notturno War started, the two of them got into a fight (both verbal and physical) while robbing a bank. They had originally planned to knock everyone unconscious, but Akki decided to kill them all instead; afterward, he went outside and started killing people left and right. The unlikely combination of Rosu's grief for the dead, hatred for Akki, and sudden need to protect people awakened his defensive abilities. After ending the partnership, in order to keep him from killing any more people, Rosu began his brutal battle with Akki. Unfortunately, Akki still had a trick up his sleeve; while Rosu's back was turned, Akki placed the permanent version of his curse on him (see above for details).
In the end, Rosu lost the fight; for some reason, though, Akki allowed him to live. When he regained consciousness, he decided that he would make up for Akki's sins by helping people. So that people wouldn't recognize him from his days as a full-time thief, he altered his appearance and changed his name to Itami Rosu. After a while, he actually began to like helping people; consequently, his personality changed. His opinion of society also changed, since he could now see more than just the bad side of people. When the war between the Aquila and the Serpente started, it was clear to Rosu which side he was going to take: the protectors of the human race, the Aquila. Today, even though he steals on occasion (bad habits die hard), he is an outstanding citizen of the (pretty much) abandoned city of Verada.

Yeah, yeah... I know. Mu-n and her limits.
Ummm... I'm comfortable with the teleportation you got going on here. I like to see a distance as to how far he can travel. Because well... teleorting anywhere he knows the location to can be well... in a sense... overpowering? If you don't want to give the distance, then at least put a limit as to how many times he can teleport.
I'm too sure about this, either. It gives the barrier a sense of infinite attack absorbtions. What's he gonna do in battle? Hide behind for every attack? (which, I trust you enough to know that you wont. But for the sake of another member using this to get his character approved I have to do this) How many times can it get hit or how long can it last?

You were keeping my weakness in mind when you posted, right?
Teleportation:
You skim-read this, didn't you?
Barrier:
I did change this one a bit. To make it less powerful, I made it vulnerable to multi-shot attacks (see above for details) and increased its Cursed Ring cost to two.
