If Verada could get anymore snow, Mia would commit suicide. Yes, suicide! The only thing she swore against! Well, that and trusting the Ryougans, who she strongly envied right now. Why? Because they probably had some freakish power to prevent them from getting cold, or they were under a roof. Oh god how Mia wanted to be under a roof right now instead of under trees... Dead trees at that, the snow fell right through them! It didn't help that she was also hungry, REALLY hungry! Normally, she'd steal from some farm but farms don't grow fresh crops during the winter, and Mia had no idea how to farm. Hell, it wouldn't even matter if she could farm because crops don't grow during winter! Seriously, how do farmers survive the winter anyway?
Mia sat up out of the snow only to be greeted by the joys of accidentally hitting her head on a low branch, and then followed up by a dump of snow on her aching head. She was now convinced that the world was trying to kill her, as well as the Ryougans. Those damned Ryougans, if they didn't exist she'd be in a warm, heated house right now! Mia shook the snow off of her brown hair, which was now damp from the endless amounts of snow. Some Ryougan probably caused all this snow! Don't they have freaky powers like that!? It'd only make sense! Mia decided in anger, before collapsing into the soft snow again. At least the snow was soft...

Water, she needed fresh water for this to work. Mu-n was experimenting with a new vaccine against her own hemotoxin, just in-case she came across some intelligent Ryougan that somehow figured out a way to use her own venom against her. She highly doubted that, but it never hurt to be prepared. She had all the supplies in her home, but fresh water was the key and Sentai Woods was the only source in Verada that had a fresh supply.
But while she was on her way back from the stream, she spotted something that she would have usually ignored. A woman. Mu-n was content with just walking past her. In fact, she would have pulled her warm, cotton lab coat closer to her just to show the woman who was sitting in the snow for some reason that she was warm, but decided against as she wanted to play with her head.
What? She was bored!
When it looked like she would have kept walking, she stopped. The vile that held the fresh water from the stream dangled from her finger tips and she fisted it in her hand before turning around to face her. She didn't say anything to her just yet. Letting her eyes wonder about the woman's facial features. She clearly wasn't either a Serpente or Aquila. For one, Mu-n had never seen her before, and two, Aquila usually took rather good care of the clan members. She was either a neutral or a simple human.
"Having fun?" she asked her, leaning to her side and crossed her arms over her chest. The woman was rather... adorable looking. Mu-n would have much fun with her.

Closing her eyes, Mia was able to relax a little bit. Even though she was damp, even though she was soaked to the bone, she was able to relax a little bit. Maybe it was because she was lying down in a practically deserted forest? Or maybe it was because the snow-fall seemed to quiet the world down. Whatever it was, Mia let her guard down by falling to sleep right on the spot, and in the snow of all places too!
The one place Mia lost her loud ego at was in deep slumber, but that was pretty normal for humans. It seemed like sleep managed to calm the worst people down, and make the already peaceful ones even more peaceful. Mia, for sure, was one of the first type of people, drifting away from the chaos and confusion of Verada in long lost illusions of peace and tranquility. Mia for sure couldn't reject that offer, any sensible human would be compelled to.
But like the shattering of glass, Mia was awoken by a voice. A taunting voice that at once awakened her from the paradise of sleeping. Drowsily opening and closing her eyes Mia sat up slowly and looked around only to find someone standing before her. Mia of course, responded by doing the only insensible thing, screaming loudly. "Please don't eat me!!" Mia screamed while flailing her arms to try and ward the thing off. She was still half asleep of course, as she soon noticed that it wasn't a lion or tiger or bear but a woman. Blinking in stupidity Mia looked down in embarrassment before standing up with her arms crossed in a failing attempt to look like a diligent person. "Erm... Who are you?"

Some humans made her want to start a killing spree, while others made her wish that she had someone to laugh with rather than at. Right off the bat, she felt a good vibe coming from this woman. Which, if Nehnna was present, she would have looked at Mu-n as if she had grown a second head. This woman was a human, and there was one element that made her come to this conclusion; she was sleeping in the snow and freezing. Neither the Aquila nor the Serpente clan would allow one of their clanmates to suffer through such terrible weather.
She watched the woman stumble from her nap and her words made Mu-n frown. Yeah. If Mu-n ever turned cannibalistic, she would be sure not to feed off of humans. But the understanding of her words came quickly when she noticed the pink tinge to the woman's cheek that grow darker and it had nothing to do with the cold. She chuckled softly and adjusted her glasses, "I'm not a cannibal, if that's what you mean."
She was dealing with human. It didn't scare her, but it made her rather nervous. Based off the vibe she received from the woman earlier, Mu-n had decided to to get acquainted with her. She could be of use, she could be trustworthy, she could be a lot of things that Mu-n would need and only speaking and engaging in conversation with her would help Mu-n determine if she was worth the effort or time.
"What are you doing out here?" she asked, sounding curious but only wanted to know to confirm her judgment of this woman being a human or not.

It was hard for even the confident Mia to guess how the woman would react to her strange awakening. In all truth, she felt flustered. Nobody woke up assuming that the person near them was going to eat them. At least nobody Mia knew.
Mia, who was unusually feeling quite embarrassed decided even then she couldn't let the awkward situation get the best of her. Nobody bests Mia, no matter the age, race or gender! So Mia went with one of the best universal tricks. Excuses.
"Er... Hey! Sorry about that, I got a phone-call awhile ago and you know..." Mia starting to explain before realizing that there's no phone service anymore. Mia wanted to kill herself now, forgetting that Verada had no phone service of all things! Damn Ryougans! They just HAD to go and get rid of the phone service huh!? "Um... I mean... Hi! Nice weather outside... right?" That only made Mia feel even worse. The weather was anything but nice! Better words for it would be 'absolutely terrible weather that even makes a duck want to kill himself'. Because ducks like the snow. Well, at least Mia thought so.
But to Mia's surprise, the woman didn't even care much about what she had said earlier. As a matter of fact, she was even smiling! Did she find Mia amusing? Or maybe she was just faking it? Mia didn't know which to decide on. But whatever it is, this woman was surely worth some time if she was willing to just let a thing like accusing her of a cannibal go. Well, talking to her was at least a better use of time than getting hypothermia.
The woman seemed to be making friendly conversation. Until she asked Mia why the heck she was out in the middle of the snow. Well, maybe she worded it a little differently but not much. She was still rude for asking Mia why she was out here! It was none of her business anyways! But, it wasn't like Mia could ignore the question, so she was forced to reply.
"Oh. Well, you see, I kinda have no place to stay, and you know, I don't have any money either. So... Um... Nice weather, right?"

Ah, so she was human. With her thoughts now confirmed, she smiled sweetly at the girl and Mu-n's charms were activated. She'd juiced this woman of all information she could (though, she doubted that she knew anything important) and the human would have no idea. She'd play the role of another human until it was deemed useless. When Mu-n peeked interest in anything she never left it alone until the interest was gone.
"It's nice if you're warm," she said, sighing softly. She uncrossed her arms and made her way to the sitting woman, not getting too close just yet.
"You know... there's a cabin not too far from here...?" Sure it was proclaimed as huanted, but who believed that stuff anyways? "It's not much, but I'm sure it's better than sleeping in the snow." She didn't want to come off as too aggressive. Humans were cowards and it'll probably scare this one off. She didn't want to ask to many questions about the human otherwise she'll seem nosie and no one likes a nosie person. Small talk first, let her warm up to her first before she dug deeper.

Smiling sweetly, the woman melted Mia's previously bitter feelings in one quick motion. Mia decided that this woman couldn't mean anything bad, in if she did, well Mia would put her in her place! But Mia highly doubted that, this woman hadn't shown any signs of trickery and deceit yet, and when she thought she did, well Mia just was wrong for once. As much as that pissed Mia off, she couldn't just yell at the woman. After all, she was human, and Mia had missed human company. All of living things she had met in the past few weeks were either Ryougan, an animal or a tree. And those three things obviously don't make good company, especially the first.
The woman, who was still wearing her sugar-coated smile brought up a cabin. It shocked Mia, how could she miss such a thing!? That was so stupid of her, it made Mia want to destroy something in anger! Of course, she couldn't do that in front of the woman, she had already embarrassed herself enough. "Er. Yeah! I knew that! I just couldn't find it in this snow, it's so hard to see after all!" Mia boasted loudly, trying not to sound idiotic. "Um, so... Could you lead me there...? I kinda can't see well in the snow..." Yeah, she failed at not trying to sound idiotic in the end...
