Alex yawned as he sat next to a road. Today had been boring and uneventful. Dear lord he needed something to happen. He'd been walking around for hours just because there was nothing to do...that's how bored Alex was. He sighed as he started hurling stones into the distance, wondering how far he could throw them.
Damn today was hot! Was about 97* Farenheit and even topless he felt like he was in an oven. Dear lord I feel like I'm being deep-fried! Alex thought as he wiped a few beads of sweat off his forehead. Granted, even though he was topless he was still wearing normal jeans and combat boots.
Eventually, after twenty minutes, Alex got very, very bored of hurling rocks and groaned out in histrionic boredom. He laid down on the ground out of boredom. He then realized someone was nearby. "Hey there...been a while hasn't it..." he said smiling as he looked up at a very familiar feminine figure...
Alex smiled up at Layra as he rolled onto his stomach, giving her a once over as he always did when they ran into each other. He chuckled as he sat up and leaned against a boulder. "So what's up?" he asked smiling at Layra as threw another stone about fifty yards down the field.

Another day, another failed hunt. Layra Mastrona was completely out of energy, she couldn't think straight. She attacked a horse when the owner was RIGHT THERE. Now, young Layra had a bullet wound. Right in the shoulder. Wasn't very nice. Now she was walking around with a bloody shoulder and empty stomach. Nothing to eat! Need food or die.
With a groan, she clutched her shoulder and kept moving. Damn bullet, damn stomach. Luckily her legs could move right. Too bad her vision was failing. Lack of food. Ugh! Layra, the sad girl with a one track mind, followed her nose to the nearest dead thing she could find.
Scavanging. Bleh! Well, gotta do what you gotta do to survive. If only she could shift her form to something with a better sense of smell. Sure her senses were sharper than the average human's, being a blood hound would be better. She didn't havve the energy to shift right now.
Then a voice rang in her ears. And that musty male scent. Damn...IT! She turned and gazed at the man she loathed. She didn't speak, but she did growl at him. He was an easy meal. Even if she was drop dead tired, hungry, and had only one arm.
He then spoke again. AGAIN! Directed at her! "What's up? WHAT'S UP! I'll tell you what's up....I'm hungry! That's what's up! Now be a good boy and stay still so I can eat you." she snarled. Then lunged at him. Clawing at his shoulders. This was how desperate she was.

Alex saw Layra's condition as she turned around to face him, seeing the bullet wound in her shoulder. He stared at her with a strange look on his face before she lunged at him, yelping in surprise when she lunged at him, pinning him down to the ground. Alex groaned as he looked up at Layra, now on top of him and trying to gnaw at his shoulder. He growled as he pushed Layra off of him, noticing that she'd lightly scratched his shoulder in her frenzy. It definitely wasn't any normal scratch, but it wasn't anything serious, but it would need a few bandages later.
Alex stared at Layra as he stood on his feet in a fighting stance, ready to dodge and avoid Layra should she lunge at him again, which he was expecting she'd do. However, he did have the advantage. Granted that he didn't have Layra's superhuman senses and wasn't quite as agile as her, he was still agile enough to hold his own against her and he could think clearly, where Layra was in a hunger-driven frenzy, so her main thought process would be to lunge and attack, a pretty straight-forward and simple process.
Alex then winced as he felt the wound sting, noticing that he was sweating from teh heat and that it was seeping into his open wound, the salt causing a stinging pain in his arm. He sighed annoyingly. Of course it had to be him that had the bad luck. While the pain was a nuisance, it wasn't enough to take his attention from Layra, who stood only ten yards in front of him, a wild look in her eyes.
Alex noticed the bullet would had been bleeding considerably and that her eyes her partially glazed-over. Despite her wild frenzy, he could tell that Layra's stance was fatigued and sloppy. He sighed as he resorted to using his drainage ability, gradually draining Layra's energy, letting it seep out of her body like sweat and into the earth. He was doing it just enough to make it easier for him to get close to her so he could treat that wound. He would then of course feed her some food he'd gotten on the way.
((How's that?))

Hungry....Hungry...Hungry....Hungry....Hungry...Hungry.
Not much was going through her mind but that little word that meant so much to her. Not one decent meal. Being a shife, Layra could digest anything. Meat. greens, a bucket of nails...Yu name it. Though she was a grazer as well as a hunter, she would take prime rib over a salad anyday. Gave her more energy. Who would want to eat grass anyway? Stupid deer think they have it made! Yeah well! Grass tasted like crap.
She stared hard at him, her eyes had a look of complete savagry. Enough to make her mouth water. His muscles...Such...Good....MEAT! She charged him again with a growl, her shoulder stinging like bees as she moved. Only an idiot wouldn't see the difference in her stance, she was hurt and hunger ridden. A animal trapped in a corner.
Then his skin touched hers and she felt sleepy..Very sleepy. nap would be nice. Layra ran completely on her energy. She needed food now or she'd die. Still, sleepy time sounded nice. All the energy in her body left, just enough to shift from human, to wolf. Her heart slowed and knees buckled. Layra Mastrona fell for the first time.
(Eh...It's ok. Express your character's thoughts more. Like I do Read my posts and compare them to yours. Your posts need voice to make it less boring. This post of mine is crappy.)

Alex stared back just as hard as Layra did, not even blinking knowing that's all she'd need to possibly kill him. Gotta keep my focus on Layra...gotta wait for her to make the first move...gotta wait for Layra to make the first mistake...gotta wait... he thought as they continually circled around each other, their eyes not leaving the other's. Alex could see the immense intensity in Layra's eyes, almost disorienting him, but managed to keep his posture.
It was then that Layra lunged. She had such a wild look that Alex hesitated for less than a split-second. OH CRAP! he thought as he raised his arms, ready to parry Layra's charge. Alex then felt their skin connect as Layra flew by him, which caused a significant amount of energy drainage from Layra's body, granted that he didn't need to drain much anyway seeing as how she was already running on empty.
Alex watched Layra fall to the ground in her wolfen form. He stood there for a few minutes waiting to see if Layra would rise, seeing if she was playing possum. After a few minutes Alex slowly and carefully approached Layra's body, asleep and relaxed. Good, it would make taking care of the wound so much easier. Alex then turned around and got som supplies as he sat next to Layra and got to work.
Getting the bullet out of Layra's shoulder was the hard part, but stopping the bleeding was almost as difficult. He'd managed to use his air and wind manipulation abilities to suck the bullet right out Layra's shoulder, granted that he had to fidgit with it for a few seconds. He then grabbed a cloth and wrapped it around Layra's shoulder tightly, applying pressure so the blood would stop flowing.
After a half-hour the blood had finally stopped and Alex had double-checked to see that there was no infection and that there wouldn't be any later. He sighed as he saw how much blood was on the grass. Damn! Looks like something died here... he thought as he started to make Layra some juicy steak, his own mouth watering as he cooked it. After he was done with that he put it in a bowl and placed it near Layra for when she awoke.
((HOW'S THAT?!? lol))

There were no dreams in her sleep. No running, no freedom. She fet trapped in her own body. The strong shifter was weak now. Paranoid as ever, her slugish mind came to one conclusion. Wake up or die. Simple as that. Predators could easily become the prey. People in Verada wanted Layra dead, but Layra didn't want Layra dead.
She stirred to one thing. The scent f cooking meat. Her muzzle twitched at that gorgeous smell....Super juicy meaty, fatty smell. Now THIS was a dream. Little pictures of steaks flew into her mind. Good smell....GOOD SMELL! One could easily tell that Layra was in heaven. In fact, she was drooling! Holy crap!
Then the scent was closer. Right by her nose. Ambe wolf eyes flew open and ike lightning, Layra was on that meat. Sinking her fangs into the chewy piece of cow meat. Like a puppy, Layr played with her food. She was completely unaware that Alex was right there. Her tail spun in happiness as she tossed her prize up and caught it. Shaking her head violently from side to side. The meat juices flew everywhere. All over her paws and face.
Now the wolf tossed her meat a good metre away. She stood still for a moment before dropping into a hunter's crouch. Stalking slowly toward her meal. Her paws barely made a ound as she moved. Once there, she sniffed the meat. Making sure it was dead.
The thing with Layra, she tended to bite a tear at something dead before she ate it. Only because she wanted to kill it again. This piece of torn up steak was indeed dead. The wolf petty much inhaled the whole thing, she was so hungry. Her tail remained in wagging mode. (make your posts more fun to read. Add some humour.)

Alex watchd Layra sleep, wondering why it always seemed that they were always running into each other. Seriously, it was starting to get weird and, because of how she always tried to kill him every time they met, annoying. He grunted as he rubbed his nose roughly. Dear lord Layra REAKED!!! Not only wsa seh hungry and hurt but also stank as if something dead had rolled on her! He then shifted his attention to Layra as she stirred, finally awake.
Alex watched Layra as seh jolted from her position with the steak in her mouth, thrashing it around relentlessly, even though the cow had already been dead for quite a while. He then saw how wild her tail was wagging and knew that she was distracted on the steak. He then sat back and watched Layra. Alex wondered to himself if the stitching he did would hold with her active movement, but was pretty darn certain that it would hold pretty well. He'd managed to find a way to combine nylon with silk, making it super-strong yet amazingly flexible and stretchy.
Layra almost looked like a puppy based off how much she was just suddenly running around. He wouldn't have been surprised if she would chase a truck if it drove by. Alex sighed as the steak was ripped and torn to pieces. He then looked up into the sky, feeling teh heat of the sun bear down on his face. WHY IS IT SO HOT?!? Alex found himself wondering as he sat against a tree kindly offering him some shade. Hopefully he wouldn' t sunburnt.
