Selena pretty much had won. He had given up and beleived she was not a Serpente. It was a bit more difficult than she had expected, but now that she could talk freely to him and he would just tell her everything, it was worth it. She didn't feel too much insulted by the age comment. She didn't care what people said about her age, she wasn't taht old anyway.
It's fine. I suppose the stress was getting to you. It must be difficult in your line of work. It;s not like I think all police are like that. And I do understand about them being peacekeepers. I guess coexistence with humans couldn't be all that bad. She almost killed herself because of her words. She hated humans for their discrimination against her. They looked down on her all her life and that was why she joined the Serpente. She would never want to coexist with them
It's ok. I accept your apology. And I'll remember you, if I ever get into trouble. Though who knows when taht will happen. If she did get into trouble, then she wouldn't be able to rely on him. She would be known as a Serpente, and Raijin really wouldn't like that, especially now.
She thought a bit before answering that question. She had to appear like she liked him, but did she really care about him? He certainly seemed nice, and he had a girlfriend but she would never feel that way about him. She felt a bit of remorse for lying, but it had to be done. Hmm...Maybe just friends right now. We really didn't get off to the best start. But we might be able to fix that, who knows.

Raijin had to admit defeat, there was no tricks he could pull out of his sleeve, no hair-brained schemes that he could think of, nothing that could help his assumption that this girl -- Selena Solister -- was apart of the Serpente. She had evaded his arrest, he had evaded a fight. Still, he felt like shizz. Lower than that, he had felt embarrassed that he accused Selena of being a Serpente and sounding so stupid as to go about a hunch as evidence. He sighed and thought about all of the plans that he used to try and get Selena to trip over her words. He couldn't look at her, he couldn't let her see any signs of defeat on his face. Serpente or not, he didn't want to give her that satisfaction. "Great. I thank you Selena, you're one of a kind. Once again, sorry about the accusation." Raijin said. A quick look on the computer or the Aquila/Serpente files would bring up Selena and would give Raijin mixed feelings on the matter. He knew this, but deep down, he didn't feel the need to bring up her file or even look for it for that matter. By the time they parted ways, who knew when they would see each other again? For the time being, Raijin would follow her advice and take a short break (since it was painfully obvious that he was taking the cop thing way too serious). Probably visit the beach, do something with Umiko. Anything that didn't have to do with the Aquila or Verada's crimes. He had given her his word that he would try to protect her innocence if something happened to her, though he was obligated to arrest her when the need came. He would be her officer and her lawyer, but the court would decide her fate. It killed him to think about it, but if the time had come if the two crossed paths, he would care less about what would come of her after he held his part of the bargain. A few nights of sleep would be lost if the worst verdict came up, since she was a ryougan and apart of his 'family', but he would feel hardly any empathy for the choice she made and the clan she joined. "Yeah, who knows?" Raijin smiled and stood ontop of a rock, finally being able to look at her only showing a plastic smile. "Yeah! Friends no doubt, welcome to Raijin's circle of buddies. Let's put the past behind us and start fresh! I still remember the strawberry cake deal, but the owners are kinda lazy and don't open until the afternoon and here it is, practically the beginning of the morning. Look!" Raijin pointed at the sky and shot a beam of electricity in the air, it cracked and cackled in the sky as an orange glow was somewhat visible. Raijin wiped his eye and yawned, realizing that this little game lasted all night. That orange glow, known by practically everybody world-wide, was no doubt the sign that the game was ending and signaled the defeat for the 'almighty lightning master', Raijin. "The sun is finally rising!" [Feel like ending the thread on your post, keep going,....? Your call ]

[ This was open, and I came here to spice things up. I hope no one tries to run, this would be fun. ] [ No need to worry, no characters will be harmed in this topic. Unless you actually try and kill mine, then malicious intent will be involved. I'm just here 'cause you two seemed fun, and I had an idea. ]
