I can't last any longer...Is this the end?
Was this a miracle to have escaped the grasp of death? Or some sick twisted phase created by god to punish Tetsuya. His vision was blurry and could barely make out objects as he stumbled along his feet. Even after fleeing from conflict of the two opponents that had severely ruined him, He happened to encounter another Serpente that attempted to take his life. Still he managed to turn the tides and take his. Funny was that he blanked out and could remember what had happen to the man that wanted his head, all he realized was his body that was tainted with dried substance had become fresh. He had to admit that he was frighten more then ever and afraid of dying for the first time in his life. It made him more violent and hostile to attack anyone who approached him. His senses were filled with an animal intent and only one word pounded in his head….. Survival. The grim reaper had decided to walk around and enter through the back door of the house and search for Tetsuya. Now he’d have to find some way to push him out by any means necessary. But it was only so long the street brawler can last, he needed to find some place of healing or else he would be done for. Polly would be pissed if she found out he was dead, and Dale would most likely steal all of his belongings, and for that mystery figures in his dreams…they would all be swept away, along with his ambitions of find who he actually is.
It was there at that time that Tetsuya had a vision of himself at a church and actually praying for deliverance from evil. It was an odd vision that left him puzzled of why he was in a church and praying. Was it something he’s done? Or maybe something he was about to do? What ever it was, he needed to figure out what had caused this vision to trigger. As drops of blood dripped down his body and his bandages around his stomach were covered by his arm, he staggered in agony. His ears were slowly dropping in volume until it became dead silent as if someone had pressed the mute button on a converter. The scariest position he’s ever found himself in and he couldn’t believe he was being out done by fear. He needed to find comfort to ease the pain, and luckily he did find a church and shortly he paused in his steps and gazed at the sacred structure before him. Three of his five senses were depleting in being functional and it only made him more frighten. Slowly he made his way inside to only notice his legs giving out before him. He recovered by gripping on to a near by bench and used it as support to reach to the front. Bench by bench his progressed to the front and closing in to the front of the pulpit, he fell with a loud thump onto his back and viewed the white ray of light that filled the area. Its was pleasing to the heart and put some ease to his panic state. Still he didn’t want to die at all, he only hope god would answer his hidden prayer that he would make announced
”Father, I know that you would never answer my calls…This maybe the last time I’ll be calling you. I’m just a lowly SOB with enough strength to make Zeus tremble…I’ve used my powers to save those in need when it came down to it…and fought those that mean only harm. And this is my reward!? ”
He slowly stopped and realized that he couldn’t even hear the words he was saying because of his condition. He didn’t know if he was really deaf or it was because of the shock he was in
”father! I can’t die yet…please help me…you’re my only hope...How can you let a man die without knowing his pass and what he stands for!?.....”

The coldness... it was freezing. The winter night was oh so cold. Heavy snow lay on the ground from earlier. Though the snow itself had stopped falling from Heaven to the Earth, it had stuck and may even be there for days to come. But the beauty of it... for a place lacking inner beauty. It was like a beautiful story, a snowy city with a young woman walking through the streets.
Ayumi Hamano was wearing a large hoodie, the hood up as to protect her ears and face from the coldness. She wore a skirt, though, she had leather leggings underneath to protect her legs. Brown shoes went to her ankle, not the best for snow, but they were good enough. Her brownish-black hair was tied into her usual ponytail. It laid out onto her shoulder as she moved slowly through the cold night.
What was she doing out in the cold this late? Plus, it was very cold that night. Well, the girl could not help it. She had always been a sucker for these storybook snowy nights. She enjoyed taking walks through the snow. She often made stops to 24 hour running establishments and just stared out the window. Sometimes, she went to the church and prayed, and sat there in her thoughts for a while. She didn't know what she'd do tonight. Maybe she'd go talk with her lord. She had not recently, as she has had troubled times. It started when she rescued a young man from the hospital. After that, she'd been helping many more people. The war between the Ryougans was getting more vicious each passing day, so her healing powers were needed very much so.
She stopped infront of the church, smiling. She began to walk towards the entrance when she lost her footing, falling to her knees. "Ouch.. need to watch my step, there must be some ice.." She looked to where she had slipped. There was ice, yes, but there was also some blood near it, though not quite on it. "Am I.. am I bleeding?" she checked herself and frowned. No blood. She stood up and walked towards the door, pushing it open.
She walked forward some, not able to see too well due to the darkened night. "Hello? Is... anyone there?" She stopped, Trying her best to see forward. She gasped when she saw a body, fear moving through her body. Hopefully he was alive... she could heal them, she didn't know if it was male or female as she couldn't see that well, if they were the slightest bit alive.
She began to move towards the body, nearly falling a few times, before arriving to the body. She prayed it wouldn't end up being a corpse. Her hand searched for a wound, but there were various cuts. She'd just heal his heal his whole body. If it was took weak doing that, she'd just have heal the worst wound separately when she regained strength. She then began to heal his body, a light flowing from her hands.

A bleak Soul dulled by darkness found its way into chambers of repentance, yet the cries for forgiveness falter to reach past the roofs of the holy church. His eyes only expressed pain and panic of what’s to come, his body numb as well weary from substance leakage. Constantly he scanned the vicinity in hope of comfort and to ease his troubled heart beating at miles unending. It was said that they that wait upon the lord shall renew their strength. Where was this strength that he’s heard off? The first time this weary soul has hidden in the shelter of deliverance, and now he was found bleeding steadily on holy ground. Deliver us from evil? Would God truly deliver this soul from evil?…Death had already stormed the scared alter, closing in on the struggling body that feared the life of nothingness. His cloak slid across the isles as his instrument of death gleamed in each step. The more he heard the foot steps, the colder it got. His gasping for air stopped in hopes to conceal his location, praying that maybe another time Death would just miss him and leave. A foolish move made by the fearful fighter, but what else was there to do? On each footstep his heart pounded harder and harder and based on the patterns of crackling step, He could tell that he was discovered. What was his game? Why was he taking so long to gash his tool through his gut and finally take this man’s life, who has been dodging him for all these years.
His tears had already dried up long before he showed up, clearly god would only sit on the side lines and await the final event to take place. This evil…There was no deliverance from this, only options were to embrace and repent for his sins to be washed away. For a man with godly strength, he’s never felt so weak in his life. No matter how hard he tried to ignore the reaper, his ear only became selective to it. His eyes constantly found themselves darting towards the shadowed mist in expectations for a cloaked man ready to drag his soul downstairs. That’s where he presumed he would be next, the great fiery furnace called hell. It didn’t matter how many humans he saved, how many of his brethren he saved. It wouldn’t atone for his sins…He was just a lowly fighter with no real morals. An hour would go by leaving the wounded warriors resistance in a paralyzed state. His body had broken down and unable to produce enough energy to move. It was over, God could only attend to so many people’s needs and there had to be at least one who’s prayers would be missed. Today that victim was the fearless brawler known as Tetsuya. His bodies was relaxed and at ease, but his mind drawn to the afterlife. All in his mind were words about him not wanting to die. He wasn’t ready to go…but what else was there to do….finally he would calm himself by closing his eyes and awaiting the violent end of him "Hello? Is... anyone there?"
The voice was faint in sound a coming as if it was said because of the muted ears of Tetsuya. Still there was something that was quickly heard, a familiar voice that he’s heard in numerous circumstance where he found his battles a lost cause. It was her voice again…she’d come to bring hopes with her soft and delicate tone. It often inspired Tetsuya to gain victory, even in his recent fight against the two serpent…but would it be enough now? What words could she say that would help him escape death who had his blade ready to crash down upon him? Only one word she wou- No only one name she would say that would shock the fighter to a different degree
Tetsuya
From there he felt his body being filled with a renewed energy and his body slowly gaining feeling back as well his ears gaining its regular hearing….God!?

Ayumi calmed somewhat. Her healing was seeming to work so far. That was a relief. She would hate to have to watch this man die and then have to tell his family that he was dead. She felt bad whenever she couldn't save someone. She always felt like it was her fault, though it usually wasn't. Though she had made... mistakes sometimes. Using energy too fast and tiring herself out before she could save the target. She loathed herself whenever someone died. But she would always come out a better person. It made her stronger and her healing powers would grow strong with practice. No, no. That made it sound like inured people were targets. They all mattered to her.
She pulled off her jacket, using it to lightly clean blood off of him. She didn't like blood all that much. Made her want to vomit. Ironic, huh? A good healer of the Aquila. Sick to her stomach because of blood. Usually she got over it, but tonight she was already feeling a bit sickly. She thought the walk would have made her feel better. Obviously not, as she is about to throw up all over a dying man. She'd hold it in to her best, though. It'd be bad for him to wake up with blood on his chest, or worse, face.
She finished wiping up blood, and lightly pulled the man's head up a bit. She put the hoodie under his head as a pillow. Hey, she didn't want him to recover to a headache. She shivered slightly. She was wearing a turtleneck, but still. The hoodie was helpful. She pulled out her ponytail to cover up her ears and neck.
"Alright, let's heal you up.." She whispered, beginning to heal again.

So God did answer prayers. Once again the reaper in the dark hood was dodged by Tetsuya with the help of lu-God. He was grateful that he would have his life handed back to him once again to fulfill his goals of finding who he was. His strength was slowly getting back to him and he could feel someone taking care of his wounds and blood stains. His head even felt a soft cushion beneath it to keep him from getting a nudging pain when he woke up. He badly wanted to see who was doing this to him and he would owe this person his life once he open his eyes…but he could still feel soreness from the injuries he suffered. Shortly he tried to speak…but no words were formed….just him groaning
So I dodged the bullet huh? Sorry reaper…maybe next time you can have my life, but not this day
Soon his eye opened and he looked around to see if the dark cloaked man was still around from when he was having his panic attack. Nope he was gone, and the only figure he was could was a stunning attractive lady. It was a treat for first thing to see is a lady after nearly dying, but he was not in that phase to try and hit on her or anything like that. Regardless of the wounds, he shot up at her and wrapped his arms around her without giving her the time to complete her healing. It wasn’t something he thought, it was a reaction. His eyes filled with relief and pain…he was happy that he was alive, but he never wants to be put in that scenario again
”Thank you!”
His words were firm and solid and filled with truth. He meant it all and would gladly risk his life to save her ironically. his wounds were still uncompleted and for a regular person, you could tell they would be groaning in pain...But it was obvious that Tetsuya's been through way too much battles to let such wounds like these really phase him

Ayumi was surprised by the sudden hug, but accepted it nonetheless, hugging him in return. She smiled, patting the man on the back. "It's.. it's no problem. I'm just glad you didn't die." She closed her eyes, thinking about what might have happened if he died... She'd hate to see the face on the family that he would have left behind.. Darn, She'd even be sad. She liked everyone. Unless they harmed someone she cared about, they were in her good book.
"Why don't you tell me what made you that hurt? It was pretty bad. But be careful. We don't want your wounds reopening." She said cheerfully, her hands in her lap as she sat on her knees. She felt good. She had saved a man from sure death. She just hoped he didn't hurt himself too much in his happiness. Though she could tell he was stronger than most others. She had a feeling... She had the feeling she gets when she meets other Ryougan. It's this... powerful? feeling she gets. She ends up right a majority of the time, but other times it ends up being a rather strong human. She was surprised how some humans got such an aura.
She wished she had brought her weapon, though. it made her feel more secure. Especially at night in a dark church. An injured man and a weak, unarmed healer. She knew some martial arts, but nothing serious. She had only learned how to give herself an escape route. She wasn't one to beat the crap outta someone. Not even a gangster or someone evil. Her first kill was to save someone who had been hurt. She regretted it. She would never do it again.

Shortly after getting out of the excitement, Tetsuya released his grip on her and figure that he maybe creep her out with such a hug. She didn’t even know him, so he didn’t want to do anything to scare her away. Placing himself back to the position he was before, he relaxed his body and attempted not to irritate the healing process or his wounds for that matter. It wasn’t everyday you came across someone who was nice and sweet with the abilities to heal. Truly the prayers worked….but he still couldn’t figure out what that vision was…or maybe it was a dream?
Well it didn’t matter…right now he needed a smoke! Unfortunately he lost his cigars during the carnage he had to endure for so long. Oh well, he’d probably have to wait until he got back to Polly and ask her for money. Of course she’d be pissed, but also be happy he didn’t show up at her front steps dead. As he calmed himself down he began to speak to her about his near death fight
”I got into contact with two Serpente…One of them began to hack away at me on a table once they knocked me out and casted a paralyzing technique on me”
He almost thought about not telling anymore of what happen there, but he would just for her to understand the full extent of his suffering
”I was tortured for hours un end, but managed to break free. Once I escaped I was haunted down by another Serpente, but then I blanked out. I assumed I went berserk and killed the man, because I had more blood on my body then before…and then I found myself here ”
(garbage post!)

Ayumi frowned as he explained the terrible story to her. "I - I see. I'm sorry for asking. It must be hard even to think about. I know if it were me I'd wish to forget about it." She said, as she finished the healing. She felt terribly bad for even bringing the topic up. The experience must have been excruciating. She shook her head as she pulled her hands back, sighing. "Alright, I've done all I can do for now." She scooted back some to give him some room. "But you still need some rest. Too much strain and it'll be like I never healed you at all. If you get too cold, go ahead and use my hoodie." She smiled slightly, before glancing around at the large fancy glass windows. The church was eerie at night. She felt as if she were being watched. But of course she wasn't.
Unless the Serpente her talked about gave chase. That wouldn't be good. She couldn't fight if they did. She could protect herself to escape, but she'd have to abandon the man to die. And she wouldn't do that. She'd just have to use a shield for them both until they, well, broke. Then she'd get her ass handed to her in a fight and then get killed or worse, captured...
Wait, no. No negative thoughts. She saved a man just now! She should be much happier than thinking about death coming her way. "Oh. How rude of me." She face palmed, before laying her hands in her lap. "My name is Ayumi. It's a pleasure to meet you."

”Thank you, Your to kind to me…I wouldn’t of survived if it wasn’t for you. I prayed for life and god sends a guardian angel to save me”
He rose his upper body up in his sitting position and stretched to relief the tension within him. He could feel the pain of the sores, but he didn’t care only because they weren’t life threatening. She had finished and he felt as if he wasn’t the same person who traveled a far distance with death wish injuries. And in some way he felt much stronger then before, coming like he’s enhanced his skills through training. Of course that wasn’t true, it was weird of how he could feel that way.
It would cause a puzzled look as he began to look at his closed fist and fasten them tightly as he thought to himself, almost forgetting the beautiful woman was still there beside him. Soon he drew his attention back towards her as she mentioned her name. It was met with a warmth careful smile and a slight nodded
”Ayumi , sucha beautiful name for a elegant flower. My name is Tetsuya! I’m just a street brawler just trying to pass through a day without dying….You shouldn’t be around me for too long.” He closely eyed outside to see if anything was suspicious. Things just didn’t add up to how he was haunted down to death. He was in the heart of the Serpente area and only one man came for him? That doesn’t add up. He would feel thankful but empty at the same time. As he went back to looking at her, he notice something in her eyes….something was there that wasn’t suppose to be
”Ayumi, You seem like a gentle individual…but your eyes tell me a different tale. As if you’ve shed blood before…am I right?”

Ayumi smiled until his last comment. Oh, the terrible memories that came to her head. She had only killed once, and she regretted it. She should have let him live. All she would've had to do is move the man she was saving. If she had done that, she wouldn't have had to kill the man. What if *he* had a family and friends? oh, how the thoughts made her weep on the inside. But now wasn't the time for crying. She wiped her eyes before they could tear up, and coughed awkwardly.
"I have... only killed once." She sighed, wishing she didn't have to talk about it. But, it'd be rude for her to just ignore the question. "It was not too long ago. I was at the hospital salvaging some medical supplies. I take care of people, you see, and I need medicine to make sure they don't get each other sick. One little girl was sick, and I needed some liquid meds. But when I got there, a man came in, half burnt. I healed him, but immediately after, he left."
"When I went looking for him, he was fighting some men. He was able to kill all but one, as the one he had killed before hit him. He wasn't in shape to fight. So I stepped in and fought him. After knocking him unconscious I moved his body away so he wouldn't wake up and find us. But the man I saved demanded he be killed or else he'd hunt us. I told him I couldn't, but he pushed me... I.. I eventually did it. I beheaded him with my naginata." She wiped her eyes again to make sure she didn't start crying.
"But, that is the only time I've killed. Unless you count the times my healing has failed. It doesn't always save people. Sometimes the most I can do is make their deaths painless. I feel awful about it afterwards." She sighed, letting out another awkward cough. "But other than that, I have only killed once. How about you? As a street brawler, you must have killed atleast once before, right?" She asked, changing topics as fast as possible.

He regretted asking her to talk about such painful events; he could tell her heart was troubled by the memories of the beheaded man whose life she’s claimed. In his heart he actually prayed that she never goes through hardship as that again. He felt wrong for looking into her eyes to see something like that. It was funny though, many may of consider him a mind reader…but he was far from it, He’s been through many deadly tales during his days to tell when ones committed bloodshed or not. He actually grinned with a hint of stress of how much people he’s murdered with his own hands. The worse thing about it was that he really didn’t know because he wasn’t aware of his origins and what he’s all about. No family…no friends, just a pair of fist forged with raw power. While looking at his hands, he realized that his broken thumbs were healed in the process as well….He pondered on if she knew his thumbs were broken, or if this just happen by mistake. Well it didn’t matter, he needed to rest himself up and stay away from brawls for a while…unless he wanted to be in the same condition his was a few minutes ago
”It doesn’t matter how much times you wash these hands over…everyday the stains remain on this fists. They can never be cleansed, maybe this was the reason why I found myself here…hoping the lord had a cure”
He then stopped in his silence with his same troubled smile on his face. He wasn’t to sure what response he’d get from or even if this was causing and awkward moment for the both of them. He didn’t even feel like his self really…a matter a fact since he’s lost his memories he feels as if he’s living someone else’s life. Coming as if he was barrowing it until he found his. Soon an odd feeling crept down his spine like a snake had dug deep into his skin and was swarming around. Something wasn’t right, but he didn’t want to bring it to her attention until he was certain there was a reason for this feeling
”I shouldn’t trouble you with my burden…someone like you shouldn’t have to deal with pain and suffering”

"Nobody deserves it. But this city is just a big black hole of pain and suffering. Once it sucks you in... well, you're screwed." She sighed, rubbing her forehead. "It was inevitable for me having to kill someone though..." She shook her head. You know, now that she thought about it, why her? Why was she born into this damn city. Furthermore, why didn't she leave when she had the chance?
No, she wasn't that selfish. She couldn't have. She snapped out of her thoughts before she ended up staring into space, making it obvious she was lost in thoughts. She didn't want to seem rude. She hated rudeness, and yet she was being a but rude right then.
"Oh, no, it's fine. I like hearing other people's problems. I always do my best to see if I can help." She rubbed her chin, tilting her head a bit. "But, you seem to have a lot on your mind. Care to talk about it?" She coughed slightly. She didn't want to be a busybody, but she just wanted to help. And this man looked like he had a lot on his mind, even for someone such as a brawler.
He seemed complex for a brawler. Most would imagine some giant lunkhead with bandages wrapped around his fists.
((Not in a good mood and I can't think of anything. Writer's block.))

Suya forced a smile once again after staring at his fist that seemed to only be viewed in blood in this point in time. A shocked look came on his face as he witnessed the entire scenery change into a field of fire and his hands began to leak in blood. Quickly it reverted back to normal and he rubbed his head in confusion, he couldn’t begin to explain what had just happened to him. Was it another dream? A vision of what’s to come? What the hell was that? This burning sensation shortly took over his body once again and he could feel himself getting a bit oh hotter by the seconds as he began to ponder on what it was. But then he snapped out of it as he heard Ayumi’s gentle voice once again. She was kind and willing to do her best to help him out, something he’s never came across from any women he’s encountered…well the ones recently have been trying to kill him, so this was a relief.
He did feel his alertness go up again and he happened to stare off into a direction without thinking. It was second nature and possibly something was really up, or maybe it was just him being paranoid from all that’s happen to him. Relaxing himself he finally drew his olive orbs towards the beauty in front of him. As she asked him to speak what was on his mind he felt a bit hesitant in trying to express what was going on, he attempted to explain but was caught by the grasp of words. He couldn’t find anything and couldn’t only seal his lips once again before finding a sentence to throw her way
”It’s actually hard to explain whats going on in my life…but you shouldn’t stay around me for to long. There are several people who probably want my head and are on the move. Besides I’m starting to have these bad feelings for some odd reason, maybe its because I’m hungry ”
He then rubbed his stomach and notice he needed to get something to eat from all the fighting he’s done. It’s took him a lot of effort and now he was ready to eat a whole cow if he got the chance

Ayumi frowned when he began to say that people were wanting to take his head. "Maybe you should go into hiding until they give up? I have a boarding house that protects humans and Aquilla until they can get back on their own feet, if you need somewhere to stay and eat until this blows over." She offered. She could take on another guest to her simple boarding house. It was a mixture of a boarding house and an orphanage. Adults would live whenever, children she rescued would stay. Not many children have been saved, however. It is harder for her to heal them because of their young age and their weak bodies.
"But if not, atleast let me help you get these serpente off your back. I could not leave or let you leave knowing that you could get ambushed by three vicious Serpente. I am not very strong, but I can create shields and heal, so I am atleast somewhat useful." She smiled somewhat, trying to calm the obviously jumpy man down.
She understood why he was so alert, she would be too. He had just woken up from being injured by three Serpente in a very traumatic way. Whether or not he'd be mentally hurt after this, she could not say. He was a brawler, after all, and she had not met many brawlers.

She was too kind; it was the only things that came to mind each time he glanced at her. He wouldn’t be able to live with himself if she ended up being injured or even killed because of his actions. She was just a dove tending to wounded lion from battle. Why should a dove defend a lion against a horde of hungry wolves? He would not have that happen; it would be the last thing to finally push him off the edge if she died because of his stupidity. All of this would have never happened either if he hadn’t let his lustful eye get the best of him. Well he couldn’t sit there and beat himself up now, he needed to get her out of here. All the signs he took into consideration was fallen into to place.
”Ayumi! You need to get out of here now…If I die, no one will care. You have to much people that need you, I can tell you’ve made a difference in many people’s lives. You need to continue doing what your doing, these people in this hell hole needs you” He then fastened his eye to the changing of lighting from the glass windows high and picked out a figure. It wasn’t just his mind playing tricks on him, they were still hunting him down. And based on the actions made, he had to of been the same guy who he first encountered before in the land where he nearly lost his life. Before he knew it, the window was stormed with a shower of arrows in course for both of the gifted fighters. At the speed of the arrows, Suya was caught of guard and still shaken to make any real maneuver, he had no choice but to block them, but at the same time he didn’t know how quick Ayumi was at activating her shield and if it was even strong enough to handle such a vast set of projectiles. With no hesitation he covered over her and wrapped his arms around her to kept her head close to his chest so nothing touched her. From off of each arrow, Tetsuya could feel them enter all over his back one by one and in a blink of an eye he fought himself from yelling out loud and only let out a grunt. The pain was devastating and he felt like his whole body was clogged…still he held on to her and waited for the shower to finish and as he finally heard things got silent, he slightly loosen his grip on her and turn toward the direction of the window to see a man with a enhanced bow and reversed visor and some shades. The man was about Suya’s size and gave off that vibe that he’s a jack ass. As Suya stood to his feet, he already had his fist up and acted like the arrows didn’t effect him
”Robin hood!? Dam…..Your nothing like the books man….you look like a dick”
The guy only smiled and shot another arrow at Tetsuya, but this time around he managed to grab it in mid air and snap it in half. The man laughed
“Just like the description says…none to have a big mouth. Well I’ll put a end to that Mr. Tetsuya …and who’s the lovely lady there?”
A sudden hesitation came into play for the young brawler and then he turned his head to whisper something to her so she could hear “remember what I said…I probably won’t be able to beat him, but I can buy you sometime” If Ayumi looked she could see that he was in a bad condition from the streaks of blood from the open wounds he just suffered.
