The sun was rising, the darkness of Verada shattering in the sun's warm embrace. People were starting to awaken, and night people were falling into bed. The city would be bustling with good and bad people soon, some places were already bustling, even though the sun had not yet risen. The abandoned hospital laid silent and dark, though through broken windows sunlight flooded in. The pinkish sky sent beautiful rays into the dark area, lighting some places nicely, though some places stayed dark.
A shining beauty slowly walked through the abandoned hospital. Her dark eyes scanned the area cautiously, though a beautiful smile played on her lips, as always. Ayumi Hamano, age 19, was a special type of human called 'Ryougan'. She was a mistress of holy, using light powered abilities to heal and protect those she wished to, well, heal and protect. She was also part of a special sect of the Ryougan, called 'Aquila'. In the city of Verada, there were two special sects, the Aquila and the Serpente.
The Aquila were friendly to their non-powered cousins, the humans, and did their best to protect them from the evils of the city. Ayumi was proud to be part of the group, and her home was a boarding house for injured humans and Aquila.
Though a healer, the graceful beauty could not heal diseases. She had to visit this hospital frequently to find medicines to help out people she is aiding in the boarding house.
The hospital was big, so she could make a lot more trips to get more, except there are others that often make visits. She tried not to take too much when she came, she wanted everyone to be treated, even the Serpente didn't deserve death by disease. Death by old age is a common liberty, in her mind.
The beautiful Aquila entered a room, and began to search for medicine.

body was charred, barely even able to tell of her dental because of her body being horribly scorched. She had been killed by many Serpente but this one was said to have done the final damage, letting her burn, letting her try and put out her whole body, while it was engulfed in flames. Lowering his guard, he drew out his katana's holding them inwards like he usually does. Staring the man down, he watched him flip open the lighter. Faden could feel his heart beat faster. This is something he didn't like control him, his anger. It was consuming him and he could feel it. Just as quick as he flipped the lighter open, Faden was already beside him, with a bloody blade. Watching as the arm of the man slide off from his body. The screams from him echoed in the area. Luckily they were behind an abandoned building, and no one would come to his aide. The lighter slid to the ground, and even before the man had enough time to hold his gory, bloody arm, Faden was already now in front of him, now with his other blade bloody. Faden then watched again, as the other arm slid off the mans body. Blood spewed from the wound, even reaching to where Faden stood. It sprayed all over his back. As when he attacked, he hadn't turned around but once, on the second attack, so the last motion he made had him face the same direction Taiki was, meaning his back was to him. The man didn't know what to do, the screams coming from the mans mouth were horrible. He fell immediately to the ground, his now stubs flailed wildly as Faden swiped the blood off his katana's by slashing the air, he sheathed his blades, and went into the building, as he now knew was an old hospital. Leaving the man to bleed to death, not saying a word. The burns on his arm hurt, the irony of where they fault and how he could easily get some bandages, and gauge. He hoped they still had supplies in this place. As he could barley raise his arms now. The screams from the man outside had stopped. Oddly it stopped just as he walked into the building. Sadly Faden had to lean on stuff to get through the place. His anger made his muscles ache, and using his powers when angered made them twice as strong, but hurt him in the long run. Stumbling over a movable tray, he fell to the ground. Making a bunch of noise of metal clattering. He could barley move now, as he tried to stand up. His arms giving up on him halfway.[/ul]

Ayumi toyled around the room, searching for anything to treat or prevent a disease with. Disease was a bad thing, espcially if someone had it in her boarding house. If one person had it, it would surely spread to more people living there. That would be bad, espcially if she was hit by it too. Then, who would heal? Ayumi grabbed a few bottles of medicine, putting it into a small pouch she had across her waist.
Ayumi walked out of the room, her ebony ponytail flowing gently behind her. She pulled her blue jacket/shirt thing closer onto her body, glancing around as she shivered slightly in the cold morning breeze that blew through the shattered windows of the hospitial.
As she began to continue down the corridor, she heard screams. She twirled towards a window, running to it. She looked outside, and saw nothing. The screams had to be nearby though.
She dashed down the halls, moving from one to another. The screaming soon stopped, though, and she slowed down. They had either died or they had been helped. But then, she heard a door open, and she crouched down at the end of a hallway. She glanced over the corner, and saw a man with burnt arms. 'What happened?' She thought to herself.
She stood up as she saw him collapse, and she walked out from the hall and towards him in a small jog. She had to help this man, if he let his arm stay like that, he could easily be ambushed by a Serpente, and if he WAS a Serpente, an Aquila.
"Are you alright?" She half-gasped, kneeling by him, holding her hand over the burn. A golden light came out, washing over the burns. THe pain would sooth, and some of the burns would turn normal, though he'd obviously need to bandage it. "You need some bandages."

He rose up, wincing some. He had always hated burns. They hurt him so much, it was as if because of his element, he was weak to fire. Odd enough, it was always true. Sun burn, third degree. It was horrible, and he slid up the wall, trying not to move his arm. Slowly he crept forwards, looking for a room he could tell that would have them. He didn't want help, because of his pride. Though he needed help, and he knew it himself. He wouldn't accept it willingly.[/ul]

Ayumi frowned when he tried to get some bandages himself. "Wait, let me heal your other arm. And I have some bandages right here in my pouch, no need to strain yourself." She said, her light-hearted smile returning to her pale face. She gracefully moved infront of him, placing her hand near his other arm. She began to let the golden glow flow onto his other arm, soothing and lessening the burns.
"I'm Ayumi, it's a pleasure to meet you." She said as she unzipped her pouch, pulling out a conviently small roll of bandages. "Hm.. This will cover one and most of another arm. I'll have to go find some more after I bandage as much as I can up."
"But you'll have to stop moving." She smiled, patientlly waiting for him to swallow his pride and stay still. "Don't worry, I'm not going to hurt you." She could sense something from him. Distrust? That, and pride. She was an expert at reading the faces of those who don't want her help. Many haver tried to brush her help away, but she never allows a person to leave her care injured. She wouldn't be forceful, but she didn't want this man to get hurt.

No one really has ever asked him if he needed help. There had been a few, he turned down. After what happened to her, he'd never let anyone near him like that again. Or so he would think, perhaps someone could come along and stir him the right way. For now though, his mind was set. The blast from the fire had a wide range, perhaps when he blocked the most of it with his arms, the fire reached down and hit his legs as well, perhaps it was a full body hit, and his abdomen was lucky enough to come unscathed. Looking down for a brief second he noted the burns. He would need atleast 4 sets of bandages. Some soothing oil, and disinfectant. His knee was badly burned, his other knee, which was his left, was somewhat burned, but not as worse as his right. His upper left thigh was burned though, not bad as the shorts that now held a hole on his upper left thigh, fortunately his khaki shorts had protected him well enough. Luckily his right knee was the only injury on his right leg.[/ul]

"You'll get nowhere like that, please, let me help you." She said calmly, following behind him. She could easily heal him, but she could only heal one more time for about 13 more minutes, and she didn't see a clock nearby. She Searched his body for the worst wound her had, and nodded to the right knee. It would require alot of energy to heal it, but she could stop the pain for a while if she concentrated long enough.
She pulled out her naginata, and stabbed it into the wall beside him, to stop him from continuing. "Don't be so stubborn, I only want to help you. Swallow your pride and allow me to heal you." She said, as she put her hand twoards his worst knee and began to heal it. She closed her eyes, and a larger glow swam out of her hand. She pulled a small bottle of medicine out of her pouch, the one she found earlier. "Here, I found these earlier. They're pain relief. They might help sooth the burning. Don't take too many though. There are some people I need to give them to." She said politly, pulling her naginata out of the wall, twirling it back onto her back.
"Maybe there is a stretcher in a room nearby. You need to lay down and rest." She said, glancing into a room. 'Nope... but I see a bit more bandages..' She thought to herself, tilting her head somewhat. "Come in here so I can bandage you up."

Pushing away, the radiation of healing stopped, and the pain was almost instantaneous. His arm flew straight to his knee, his hand hurting as well, he almost fell, but he caught himself with his left hand. Placing it against the wall he pushed off some more. He would do this himself, he didn't need her. "The man outside might of needed your help more than me, but he probably bled to death. Good riddance." He said, throwing off his blood stained jacket and shirt, with his right arm, which wasn't as worse as his left arm. Pulling his sash off, his two sheathes thudded against the ground. He wouldn't allow her to help, and it was easy to move around her naginata. Which he did, moving underneath it. "Ohh, and don't worry, that's not my blood." He said, his wincing had made his voice more soft. So he sounded sincere with it, as if he wasn't trying to avoid her. Noticing her odd samurai weapon, he thought of why she would be wielding it here. Was she a Serpente? No. Aquilla or not he'd be dead right now. He definitely could not get away well enough right now. "Women like you shouldn't have to carry a weapon." Not really implying the same thing he did earlier with the woman he had met a few days ago. Just the meaning he meant now was skewed, he really meant that people these days shouldn't have to carry weapons. It was a weird look on the weird from an ex-assassin. Sadly it was all too true. Looking into the nearest room, he noticed a drawer which he knew would hold bandages. Then he could feel as if he had supported himself. Moving into the doorway he leaned on the door, and pushed it open fully. It was slightly closed, and some odd stuff was in the way. Things in bags, with the caution sign on it. Straying from the door, he limped towards the drawers. He had gotten away before she had fully soothed his leg, so his limp was still fully there, just lessened. It was stupid not to accept help, he knew it. But he couldn't get attached to her. Friendships are beyond him now.[/ul]

She bit her lip, sighing in stress. Why wouldn't he accept her help? Was he a Serpente? Maybe he was trying to hide so he he could heal himself and then attack her. All the thoughts like that went away when he said the comment on her woman warrior weapon. She glanced back at her heavenly oriented naginata. It had been made by someone she had saved with her healing powers.
"W-wait a minute!" She said, rushing after him, though he wasn't the fastest car around with those injuries. "Just let me help you. If you move around with those injuries you'll only hurt yourself worse. "If you don't want to converse with me that's fine, just let me help you."
He was actually helping her. She couldn't heal for a few more minutes without cancelling all her powers for a while. But if he accepted her help, she could surely stall with the bandages while she recovered. She moved infront of him, a smile on her face. "Please, just let me help you. After I help you 'll leave and never speak to you again if that's what you wanted." She nodded her head, her bright smile spreading. She was an optimistic girl.

Grabbing ahold of the chair in front of him, it scooted and slipped from his grasp. Slow motion almost completely ensued. His reaction time was slow, but all he could do was flash step, which allowed him to somewhat revert his momentum to forward and not crashing in to the ground. Though the ground could of been better to running into the cabinet right in front of him at speeds comparable to the speed of sound. The cabinet cracked immediately and almost seemed to explode as he hit it. Shards of wood flew off, and Faden had almost instantly been knocked out, as he had hit his head on the overhead cabinet, breaking the glass which held a few bottles of medicine, and some doctors instruments.[/ul]

Ayumi gasped in the sudden rush of chaos, wood going everywhere and the man she was trying to rescue unconcious. She stood in shock for a few moments, before running over to his body. She unravelled her bandages and began to cover his wounds, biting her lower lip. Why did he do that? It was a pretty bad move.
She picked up a small bottle of medicine that lay on the ground, though she was not sure if it had came out when he had slammed into the wood. It was a pain relief, though. She would use this one solely for him, though, as he was her prime target for the moment.
"Oh, why did you do that.." She muttered, finished up as much she could. She closed her eyes as she felt energy rushing into her body. Ahhh, that's much better... The 20 minutes must have passed since her first healing. This was good. She could focus all her healing energy into him and heal his wounds halfway to full recovery. OF course, that'd leave her drained for about an hour, and vulnerable to attack.
She shook her head. Laying her arms on his temples, she began to use the ability she called Wisteria Dance. It could heal his whole body, though it would do barely nothing if there had been others she were healing. TO make sure the effects were stronger, she made sure the healing only got the major burns and injuries. Anything tht would heal easily with time AND the things she had bandaged she left alone.
When she was done, she was drained. She sat leaning onto the wall, huffing. "Now to wait, he'll... wake up sooner or later. Hopefully I don't fall asleep before then." She laughed somewhat in the grim situation.

Ayumi hadn't fallen asleep as she patiently waited for the man to regain conciousness, but she had rested her beautiful orbs. They opened quickly as she reached for her naginata, until she saw where the noises were coming from. It was sad she had to be so alert, but she had to be or else she'd get, well... killed.
Ayumi stood up, pulling her hand away from her heavenly ornamented weapon. "W-wait!" She said, hurrying over to him. "Why are you leaving. You haven't been healed fully yet!" She said, her hands on her hips. "If someone or somethign violent sees you, they could take you out quickly. You need to rest." She said, tilting her head. "I won't let anyone do anything stupid like that. What if a Serpente saw you?" Woops. She messed up there. What if he was a Serpente? "Or,uh something else, you know?" She added. Fixed herself quick. Smiling to hide her careless mistake there, she eyed him up and down. "Did you want me to get your coat and shirt?" She asked politely.

The question arose in his mind, playing with his thoughts. Perhaps she was a nurse, that was it. Now finding who she was, he turned, somewhat an evil stare on his face. "You're lucky I haven't killed you." He spoke, with a serious, and dark voice. "I killed the Aquilla outside, and could of killed you in here. At this state I'm in, I could kill you now. So I'd shush if I were you." Hopefully she wasn't the aggressive type, and think that taking a Serpente down would be a good thing. "I'm a Serpente, and none of them would harm me. Aquilla are too nice, they wouldn't attack on the spot." Faden was neither one of them, so he was fine saying this. Not wanting to harm the woman, he was just protecting her with his lies. The man would be tracked, and found dead with no limbs. They'd know who did it, the blood track he'd leave in the hospital would bring them to him. He just needed an escape, and he couldn't flash step correctly with the hurt knee, which he could bare, but the limp was still there. "Now just back off." He said, hatefully, all a lie. He hated to do stuff like this, but he was very good at it, he used to do it for a living.[/ul]

"Stop acting so tough, acting like that to a rougher Aquilla would get you killed." Though she didn't know this was a lie, she was not afraid. She was weak, sure, but he was burnt and injured. His Serpente powers probably were diminished. She hoped so, if she got into a fight then she would not win against the move that made him hurt himself earlier. Unless she lured him to a small room, of course. Then the same mistake might happen twice.
"Swallow your pride and get some rest. Try and kill me if you must, but I will slice you down if you attack me." Her face turned solemn for a moment before a cheerful smile reappeared. "Go, sit down. If you move too much then the bandages will be useless. My healing would have gone to waste, too." She motioned over to a chair that was in the corner of the room. She had not rested there, because she thought with the injuries he had sustained he needed to rest there.
